Chairman’s Trophy – Cricket Tournament MPL vs BPL

The Chairman’s Trophy cricket tournament was successfully held on 13th September 2025 at the Gamunu Watch Ground, Diyathalawa, bringing together the teams of MPL and BPL for a day of friendly competition.

This year’s tournament featured five teams representing each region from both companies, reflecting the strong unity and sporting spirit among employees across all regions. The event provided an excellent opportunity for participants to showcase their cricketing talent while promoting teamwork and mutual respect between the two organizations.

Following a series of exciting and competitive matches, the Badulla Region Team of BPL was crowned Champions of the Chairman’s Trophy 2025, while the Ratnapura Region Team earned the Runners-up position with commendable performances throughout the tournament.

The event was organized under the patronage of our Chairman, whose continued encouragement and support contributed significantly to its success. The matches were played in the true spirit of sportsmanship, fostering collaboration, enthusiasm and camaraderie among all participants.

The Chairman’s Trophy stands as a proud symbol of unity and teamwork, reinforcing the shared values and collective spirit that define both MPL and BPL.
